General Information

Dear NCF family,

Blessings and peace from the leadership of Northfield.  NCF is altering its schedule and service structure until further notice due to COVID-19. Here are the event/schedule changes:

  • Adult Sunday School Join (via Zoom) the Sunday school class for the fall quarter taught by Quent Ackerman & Don Pflederer. The class begins at 9:30am on the Zoom app.  Contact the church office for the Zoom link, or you can find it in the Thursday email.  Class topic:  Ezra & Nehemiah
  • In-person 11:00 services with seating in the Sanctuary.  Seating is every other row leaving some space between family groups.  No masks are required to enter or exit the building.  We ask that everyone leave the building promptly after the service and do any visiting outside.  The APR will be set-up for live-streaming for anyone who prefers masks to be worn the entire time.
  • In-person 11:00 children’s church. This is for students in Kindergarten-4th.  The classroom locations have been moved upstairs to allow for better distancing.  Please send a mask with your child.  They will not be required to wear it when coming to worship time at the beginning of class.  However, after worship they will be passing through the APR (the masks required section of the church) and they will need to wear the masks then.  They may also need it if they are doing an activity that requires close contact with other students.
  • Nursery is open!  Due to the nature of the nursery ministry and the importance of facial expressions when comforting young children masks will not be required in the nursery.

  • Women’s Bible Study – Join us Tuesdays for a Women’s Bible study here at NCF.  We will meet in the NCF Sanctuary, where we can distance as needed. The morning session will be at 9am and the evening session is at 7pm.  Childcare is provided for the morning session only – please contact the church office to sign your children up for that.  There is no sign-up for the study itself.

  • Bible Adventure Club meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:00pm.  We are meeting upstairs in room 210/211 (up the stairway on the left upon entering the foyer).  Please bring a mask.  We will follow the school's policies on masks.
  • SALT meets Wednesday evenings at NCF from 7:00-8:00pm.  This is for students 5th-8th grade.  Please bring a mask.  We will be meeting outside when the weather allows & in the APR.  Please contact Luke Porritt with any questions.
  • High School Youth Group meets Wednesday nights at NCF from 7:00-8:30pm. Large group meetings will take place in the Sanctuary & then in small groups after. Distancing is practiced during both the large group & the small group gatherings.  Please contact Brady Zimmer with any questions.

  • The Cabin will be meeting Saturday nights at 7:30pm.  Masks are required when entering & exiting the building and also when physical distancing cannot be practiced once inside.  Students are able to remove their masks and sit closely to other students who they are regularly in close contact with.  Seating can be in groups of students who are normally spending time together with distance between groups.  This for high school & college students.  Bring a friend!  Contact Brady Zimmer with any questions.

  • The Women’s Tea is cancelled for this year.
  • The Men’s Deer Feed is cancelled for this year.
